James is the Senior GP Partner in a nationally renowned, award-winning PMS practice in North West England. With a wealth of experience in General Practice, medical education and medical politics, he is President of the National Association of Primary Care. James has served as a senior GP advisor at the Department of Health and more recently, he was the National Clinical Commissioning Networking Lead for England. Alongside the Chairman of NAPC, Dr Nav Chana and colleagues from the team James has been instrumental in the development of NAPC’s Primary Care Home, New Model of Care.
Now an independent healthcare consultant, David has over 35 years’ experience working in General Practice, pioneering systematic management of long-term conditions employing managed care techniques. After retiring from practice, he was appointed as the National Clinical Director for Primary Care at the Department of Health. He is a member of the All-Party Parliamentary Health Group and regularly publishes on Primary Care reform.
Sally joined the NAPC in December 2001 as the Office Manager and assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer in 2012. As COO, she is responsible for the day to day running of the Association. Sally is passionate about primary care and sees part of her remit in supporting and enabling colleagues from NAPC and across its membership to discharge their support to the populations in their localities.
Sheinaz is a Practice Manager with over 30 years’ experience in the NHS. She initially trained as a Nurse and Health Visitor before becoming a senior manager in the commissioning and provision of health services. As Organisational Development lead she helped set-up Gateshead PBC and supported the transition into the Clinical Commissioning Group, where she is an elected Locality Manager. She is now a Governing Board member of NHSNGCCG, a representative on the RCGP Northern Faculty Board, fellow of NHSIQ and member of the NAPC Council and Primary Care Innovation Network.
